Teresa has long been fascinated with bright playful textures and colors. When she learned that she could create colorful glass beads in all the colors of the rainbow she was enthralled. The process that makes this possible is called Lampwork or Flameworking. Teresa’s first venture in the world of lampworking was a summer session at Red Deer College in 2006 with Lisa St Martin. Since then Teresa has taken lessons with acclaimed international artists including Alexx Cheng, Michael Barley, and Trey Cornell.
Lampwork is a process of exploration and experimentation: after all, no two beads are ever exactly alike! Whether she is working with bright circus colors, organic colors from nature or silver and metallic glass, the result will always be unique. Living on the Sunshine Coast and being surrounded by the beauty of nature and the ocean continues to delight and provide never-ending inspiration for Teresa.BACK TO ARTISTS PAGE
